Meet the Family

It's only fitting that the first post should introduce the family... there are 9 more or less permanent members, and I say more or less because Cathi and I are, at the moment anyway, the only family members who actually have a single residence. The kids each have two, as they should, splitting their time between their various mothers and fathers.

We are (listed according to age):
  • Jacob (40) lead Swartz

  • Cathi (as if I'd risk it) head Besore

  • Matthew (19) a Swartz

  • Stefanie (17) another Swartz

  • Benjamin (13) the final Swartz

  • Logan (13) a Besore

  • Maddie (10) the middle Besore

  • Griffin (8) the littlest Besore

  • Thursday (1 1/2) a Big Black Dog
One thing I can tell you for certain is that the blog title, Blended, Bent and Twisted, is totally appropriate in a very Urban Dictionary way. The family is Blended and each is Bent and Twisted in a very unique and, occasionally, charming way.

I for example, am perfectly imperfect, but not at all afraid to claim perfection in all things.

Cathi, while perfect, has a few idiosyncrasies that I am sure we will explore later, preferably when she is not around and completely without access to the Internet.

Matthew, the quiet responsible one who takes the term By the Book to hither to unknown levels.

Stef, the brain child who understands that IT IS ALL ABOUT HER.

Benjamin, a wild man who is constantly finding new and exciting reasons to run from the police.

Logan, the formally crowned "Stirrer of the pot".

Maddie, a reluctant Girlie - Girl.

Griffin, the biggest little man ever.

Thursday, Miss Next if You're Nasty, who certainly hopes you are nasty!

To be honest, other than Cathi and I, and blood relations not withstanding, this crew probably wouldn't spend as much time together if it wasn't forced upon it. They are that different from one another.

Trust me.

But the fact is that these differences lead to some frigging hilarious situations and what I hope will be an unending source of material! So, stick around, make yourself comfortable, and live vicariously through this blog. You'll have fun!
